Teeth Replacement – Implants

A Long-Term Solution for Missing Teeth

Dental implants provide a fixed and reliable option for replacing a missing tooth or multiple teeth. At Allenby Gardens Dental, implants offer a conservative treatment that restores both the function and appearance of your smile.

Dental implants have become increasingly popular because they look natural, feel stable, and help maintain the structure of the jawbone.

What Is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post shaped like a screw that is placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once placed, the implant gradually integrates with the surrounding bone through a process called osseointegration.

This healing process usually takes several months. In some cases, the placement of the final crown or bridge may be delayed to allow the implant to fully fuse with the bone.

How Dental Implants Can Help

Dental implants can support different types of tooth replacement, including:

  • Replacement of a single missing tooth
  • Implant-supported bridges for multiple missing teeth
  • Improved stability for full dentures

Because implants are anchored in the jawbone, they provide a strong and stable foundation for replacement teeth.

Proven and Reliable Treatment

Dental implants have been used in dentistry for more than 40 years. Extensive research supports their effectiveness as a long-term solution for missing teeth.

When combined with good oral hygiene and regular dental visits, implants can provide long-lasting results and improve both oral health and quality of life.

Caring for Dental Implants

Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential after implant treatment. Regular dental check-ups and professional cleaning help ensure the health of the surrounding gums and the long-term success of the implant.

Please arrive 10 mins earlier to fill in our new patient medical and dental history form, so that we can gather all the information before discussing with our dentist your chief concerns, which we will aim to address first. If time permits, our dentists will perform a thorough exam of your teeth and take some X-rays to make sure we identify all issues in regards to your oral health. We will then provide you with insights about your teeth and oral hygiene, and if required - discuss possible personalised treatment options with you, providing detailed explanations using visuals from photos and X-rays. We don’t just look after you today but we also plan with you for the next 10 years.

At Allenby Gardens Dental, we recommend our patients to come back twice a year to have a regular check up and clean. This can help us to identify problems early and treat the issue when it is easy to manage. It is also important to maintain the healthiness of your teeth and gum.

We recommend parents to bring their child in for their first visit when their first tooth has come through. This will allow the kid to get used to the dental environment and enjoy a ride in the chair. Our goal is to establish a comfortable and pleasant experience for the child and establish a good impression from a young age, so that we can help guide them towards looking after their oral hygiene together.
